UNIQUE BOURBON VANILLA : WHY?

Bourbon vanilla really has its own character. Why?
If i look back at my plans 10years ago, my work and my life's path had nothing to do with vanilla.
However, in 2018, i had the chance to learn more about it. I was curious to know : "Why do people abroad want it so much?"
And when i held vanilla for the first time in Mananara Avaratra, i felt its true value. It is soft yet sharp, and even after a few hours, you can still smell the scent.
Farming methods, processing, sorting, scent, color, moisture, paperwork, all the structures and levels around it, i looked at the plantations, the markets, the farmers, collectors, sorters, their way of life...
So I decided to use what i have learned and my skills, to study, to help, to research, and to do whatever i can to move this vanilla industry forward.
There is much I cannot list, but here is what i saw from the very beginning, some of the reasons why vanilla is so highly sought after:
- For those who like to read and research: many researchers have found that vanilla is one of the fruits with the highest number of "olfactive notes."
- Processing it also requires patience, experience, and skill.
- The soil, the climate, the sun change as the years go by. vanilla farming follows this: it requires research and close attention, and especially, labor and investment.
- Madagascar's bourbon vanilla product has its own unique scent.
And when we look deeper, we find there is even more...
My love for my fellow citizens, the desire to help their way of life, and the wish to promote malagasy vanilla are the reasons why.
Everyone, i welcome all suggestions and questions.
